Art Journal

While taking the CC101 class, it got my interests into Art Journals and distressing pages.  There are so many mediums out there, I figured this could be so fun!  So while on the prowl of YouTube, I came across some GREAT resources on how to start one.  This is my first attempt.  My husband got me this journal for my birthday a couple of years ago, and I wasn't quite sure what to do with it.  It's all made of handmade papers, and soft leather outer wrapping.  I've decide that I can do an art journal on these hand made papers, but I have to be really careful, as they're so delicate, but it was fun to try this, and something I'm definitely going to continue.  I also bought 2 more journals at our local art supply store, made of Cold Press Water Color paper, so when I want to get really dirty and inky, I can try it in those books.  But I really like the way this turned out.

Creative Chemistry 101 (Day 2)

I recently took the Creative Chemistry's 101 online class with Tim Holtz.  Here's my attempt at the techniques for Day 2, Blended Spritz & Flick, Brushless Watercolor, and Wrinkle-Free Distress...I really didn't like my first attempt... so I watched all the videos, went back and took my time, using the correct papers, tags, inks, etc... I like this much better. Enjoy! ...and if you weren't able to take his class, you can still sign up.  The forum isn't live, but the videos, etc. are there for a lifetime...   Signup is to the left of my blog :)  I used all Ranger Distress Inks, and Club Scrap's Green Thumb stamp.
