Finished another one, finally!

I've been working so much lately, but I finally found time to finish a canvas. It never ends up the way it starts, but I'm happy with this one.

Blue Poppy!

This was my color palette choice for today, wasn't sure where I was going with it.

Then I decided to check out some of my FaceBook groups and found a woman who did an amazing job with a blue poppy! A blue poppy? Loved it! So I decided to try it and it came out awesome!!

As you can see, I can never just leave it alone, so I decided to add raindrops (glossy accents) and love it even more. Now that I can paint a poppy after a year of practice, lol, I may need to try different flowers.

Still Thinking and Hoping for Spring

I decided to just add color to canvas and see what I could see in the paint...

It ended up looking like poppies, so I went with it!

...and one last Donna Downey "Inspiration"

I used everything from Gesso, to Acrylic Paints, Sharpies, Distress Stickles and Liquid Pearls.

A Little More Donna Downey

I love just putting color on canvas....

...but adding the finishing touches really brings it together.  Thank you Donna Downey for another great tutorial.

Donna Downy Inspirational Canvas

This was my piece on Donna Downey's 40,000 "likes" on Facebook, when she gave away a free video.  This is how it started for the background...

...and this is how in ended up, I may need to do more of these, I love how it turned out! I added Dyan Reaveley's sprays to finish it off.

A Little Help From My Friends

I decided to do more abstract work on a canvas board, and this is what I came up with.  I had no clue what to do with it, so I posted it on FaceBook, and waited for responses. I used acrylics, and metallic acrylic paints.

A few friends saw the waterfall, so I built on that.

It started taking shape!

I added the moon and the trees, but left it at that, I didn't want to take away from the waterfall.
I'm really happy how it turned out!

A few things I've been working on...

I decided to get creative again this week, and am looking forward to the weekend! Getting my paints out, and ready to get messy again.  Here are a few paintings I've done with inspiration from my online gurus, hope you enjoy!
I decided to use a stencil with squares, and create texture with paste.  Adding the flowers at the end, I love texture!

This is a small Stampbord tile, and I used Alcohol Inks.  The technique was blowing with a straw!

A Little Different ...

I'm more into bright colors, or earth tones, flowers or abstract, so this is a little different but I like it.

Can you say "Think Spring"?!

After all this polar vortex, I'm keeping with the spring flower theme! Using Dyan Reaveley ink sprays continuously now, but thinking I must buy her 6 new colors AND some of her stamps and stencils :) I used a flower stamp that I cut out and glittered up to add dimension.

...of my art journal. Can't wait to do more, and to also upload some of my paintings I've been working on. It never looks the same finished, as it does when I first have an idea, but I'm happy with it.
