Beauty

Using Dina Wakely's new beautiful colors! Wasn't sure what I was going to do with this, but of course....
Still need more practice on faces, which is driving me nuts! But I love the color combo in this! ...I also used the writing tips that Dina has out, they work great!!

YouTube Inspiration

I am on vacation for a week, and I am planning on getting my art on! I am in love with Nika Rouss' style of art, here is my take on one of her pieces using Ken Oliver's Color Burst. My faces seem to be getting a little better!

Now I just need to work on more details and shading.

Worked on a few sketches with Ken Oliver's Colorbursts, absolutely love the way one little contaimer has so many color possibilities! I love to add different mediums, but stuck with just a couple this time.

Paint and Faces

Kind of obsessed with trying to learn faces right now, here's another...but definitely loving Dina Wakely's new paint colors! Used Golden's light modeling paste for part of the stencil, I love putting texture in my art.

Flowers Again!!!

Just can't get away from flowers, and I've been using Bristol Paper lately along with my art journal. I've ran out of wall room for my canvases, so this is an excellent way of doing even more art!

Learning to Draw Faces

Started a new obsession, drawing faces...I'm determined to figure this out :) So this is how it started out...with the help of Dina Wakely's how-to draw faces...

...then I decided it needed some texture and depth... and this is how it ended up!

Cover Page

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THE WAY MY COVER CAME OUT!!

Decided to work on the cover of my Dyan Revealey Art Journal, so glad I did, totally in love with it, and her paints are scrumptious!!

Art Journals

Working in my Dyan Reaveley's large journal this week.  Got alot of inspiration from her facebook page! Forgive me for not remembering where I got the idea for the top one, but it looked like fun and there are tons of layers on this page.

Poppies and bubbles, not really how this one started out, it's growing on me, but another one that I'm not sure I like.  What I will say is that I LOVE working in art journals.  I have a small journal that I can take on the road with me, but need to have a small collection of markers and colors that I can doodle with.

Canvas Work

The canvas was calling to me on this one, I used everything mixed media that I could get my hands on! I'm not sure I like it, but it's growing on me...

The Grungier the Better

Love the grungy look, and when I got to this episode, I got really excited! Love the blue and brown combo, and then to get to the glazing and grunginess of it, it turned out awesome!!

Donna Downey Inspired!

Another one from Donna Downey's Inspiration Wednesday... wasn't sure how this would turn out...
Love using the textured joint tape and texture paste!
Didn't like it until the end result, which is when I start liking it :)

Back at the Blog!!

Decided to update my blog finally!  I have been working on Donna Downey's Inspiration Wednesday again this year, even though I never finished last year's, haha! But I love her work so much, so I really copied the heck out of this one, and love the way it came out!
